Paris Day 9!!

This morning Sami and I woke up and took the metro to Saint Chappelle. We had to wait in line, but it moved quickly and we were soon inside. The chapel was absolutely breath taking! The stain glass is so beautiful and exquisite. It was really hot inside but we still loved every minute of it! Then we walked back to the apartments where we ate lunch with Robert. We had pruschetto wrapped cantalope...it was delicious. Then Sami and I headed off to the Arc de Triumph. We took the bus to the Louvre then walked through the Tuileries and down the Champs-Elysees. It was really busy with shoppers and tourists. We took the stairs underground to get across the busy street to get to the center of the Arc de Triumph. There, we took the stairs up to the top. The view was amazing! We could see every direction for miles. Then we met Robert at a club/bar Madrigal. Iniside is all barbie pink and white. The walls are all pink mirror and the wall behind the bar is a metallic sparkling tile wall of pinks, purples, and blues. Sami and I were tempted to get a martini, but we went with smoothies...but there's always next time :) Robert told us some great stories and we had a good time. Then Sami and I headed back home. It was a long, hot day but we got a lot accomplished! Tonight we are hanging out and relaxing. We don't know what our weekend plans are yet, but we may ride a boat on the Seine tomorrow night. We miss and love you all!

  1. Busy Girls !!! You did quite a bit yesterday! Now it's time to find your favorite cafe' and order a cool lemonade (like 7-up) sometimes they mix it with beer, or try one of their cool sodas. Sit and sketch, journal or just watch the world go by. The Seine river boat ride is a nice alternative but the cafe' is cheaper... teehee. Have you walked down on the banks of the Seine? Go to Ile Citie and at the point near the Pont de Neuf you will see trees, grass, some stairs.... very relaxing down there. Almost like your very own park. Love Ya...PS that gelato looks so beautiful almost too good to eat. Nay...

  2. Hi Girls -- LOVED the photos! I agree -- the gelato rose was incredible -- I hope it was as amazing as it looked. Grandma and I are back from Cannon Beach and Emily -- we did a driving tour of Linfield and had a picnic there -- the flowers were amazing there! Grandma was very impressed with the campus. A million thanks for all the commentary and photos -- we absolutely LOVE hearing from you!!! Love, Mom

I'm wondering if King Kone would be willing to change the shape of their dooble heder into a gelato? Keep enjoying the sights. Kerry got in your room, but I don't think she left you any presents. Did you bump into the Clarks? The Yankees are beating the Mets. Life is good! XO Dadio
